The Mgarr Band app, operated by Soċjetà Filarmonika Marija Mtellgħa s-Sema L-Imġarr A.D. 2011, is committed to providing a safe and respectful digital environment for all users. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and fully comply with relevant laws and Google Play’s Child Safety Standards.

1. Zero Tolerance for CSAE

We explicitly prohibit any content or activity that involves or promotes:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

  • Sexual exploitation, grooming, or endangerment of minors

  • Any sexualised content depicting or involving minors

  • Inappropriate or predatory behaviour towards underage individuals

Violations of this policy will result in the immediate removal of such content, suspension or termination of the associated account, and, where applicable, reporting to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or local law enforcement agencies.

2. User Responsibilities and Reporting

Users of the Mgarr Band app are expected to:

  • Engage respectfully with other users

  • Avoid sharing, requesting, or soliciting personal information from minors

  • Promptly report any concerns regarding inappropriate or unsafe behaviour

To report any form of abuse, suspicious content, or CSAE-related concerns, users may:

  • Use the in-app reporting functionality (accessible via the app menu)

All reports are treated with urgency and confidentiality.

3. Content Monitoring and Enforcement

The Mgarr Band app monitors user-generated content to ensure compliance with this policy. Content may be moderated or removed if it:

  • Violates our CSAE guidelines

  • Poses a risk to minors or the general user community

  • Breaches applicable laws or community standards

We employ both automated systems and manual review processes to maintain safety and integrity across the platform.

4. Legal Compliance and Reporting Obligations

Soċjetà Filarmonika Marija Mtellgħa s-Sema L-Imġarr A.D. 2011 adheres to all child protection regulations, including the obligation to report suspected CSAE or CSAM to the appropriate legal authorities.

When we identify or are made aware of such material, we will:

  • Remove the content immediately

  • Suspend the involved account(s)

  • Report the matter to the relevant law enforcement or child protection bodies
